Nikon D40 compatible lens

Hi,

I recently bought a second hand D40, now i want to buy a new lens or may be a second hand will also do for me. but i am confused, as The D40 and D60 only have full functionality with Nikon’s AF-S lenses, Sigma’s HSM lenses and some Tamron lenses. i dont know which one is best for me. I also want to spend some money on memory card , so cant spend more on lens.

Go to ebay or an amazon site there you will found a couple of lenses for your D40, dont buy an old lenses go for the latest technology, because Nikkor lenses has compatibility issue with older lenses, Dont buy the non VR version because it wont auto focus on the D40.
