Canon 30d raw file size

Hi,

I Have Canon 30d which has Raw image support, Raw image files are sometimes called digital negatives, as they fulfill the same role as negatives in film photography: that is, the negative is not directly usable as an image, but has all of the information needed to create an image. I would like to know how many Raw images this camera can take and what will be the size ?

canon 30d is quite superior then 20d, At the low speed you can take 13 RAW and 19 JPEG images in a row at 2.8 frames/second. while in high speed mode you will beable to take 13 RAW images at an impressive 4.8 frames/second.

The RAW file size will be around 10 mb. With the large jpeg compression, you can expect each jpeg to be around 3-3.5 mg. So in total, around 13-14 mb per image. if you are shooting with Raw plus Jpeg then you will require 4gb card minimum. you don't have a choice of JPEG size or quality when shooting Raw+JPEG, and that a copy of the full Large/Fine JPEG will also be embedded into the Raw file as a preview.
