Nikon D40 vs Canon rebel

Hi,

I am looking to buy a new camera here are my choice Nikon D40 Which has 6 megapixel camera, 3 focus fields and bigger sensor 23.7 x 15.5 mm with larger screen. And the other one which I choose is Canon rebel XT/EOS350D which has 8 megapixel, 7 focus fields, smaller sensor 22.2 x 14.8 mm.


Which one should i buy ?

Both the D40 and the Canon rebel XT come in around 6 megapixels. there is very less different between them as both gives great picture quality.If you don't have any investment in lenses and are starting from scratch, you can really choose either one. As others have said, it really depends on which you prefer.

Go with Canon rebel, they have as They have better high ISO performance then Nikon. Nikon D40 is not a camera for future, its just a idea of maintaining backward compatibility with dozens of previous lenses. They already had a lot of issues with the D70. So its hard to judge the D40.

If you want to buy Nikon D40 then let me tell you the fact that the Nikon D40 can only autofocus with AF-S lenses. if youwant to attach a short, fast prime (non-zoom) lens for indoor low-light shooting should also note that Nikon doesn't currently make any such lenses in AF-S.
