I have wimdows vista enterprise installed on my laptop(HP), but now CD ROM is not working
first check that rom is working proper just check in bios that cd rom is detected ..if in bios rom present then in windows check in device manager that cd rom is present .
Click on Start>Computer>right-click on your DVD Drive>left-click
Properties>2nd Tab across the top should be AutoPlay>Set it up how you want
it. Remove the drive from the machine and try it in another machine that you have access to. Can you try a drive from another machine and see if you get the same response from it in your computer as well? Again, if you are comfortable also make sure that the drive is connected properly to your machine. The filter removal process also has a FixIt solution where you run an executable file that does the repair for you. This may also be a possible solution instead of trying to navigate through the registry manually.
I have tried but of no avail
The message I see is: the device does not start (code 10)
I have posted this to MS for any solution, but I have not received any reply.
Drivers are OK and updated .
I have no HP recovery file which might have been deleted accidentally, now question is how to get HP recovery backup recovered. Somebody is suggesting me to reinstall Vista or window 7 which may solve it.
I do not have any sort of a software like Fixit which can carry out repair.
See TA community can help me.
Thanks
The error occur because the device has no drivers installed on your computer, or the drivers are configured incorrectly.
