How to take iPod or iPhone touch Screenshot

I have purchased iPhone touch mobile phone recently but I was unaware of a feature that we could take a screenshots of desktop either of iPhone or iPod, when i have asked my friend that i am facing some problem with my iPhone and need to put the screenshot on the forums to get the possible answer at that time i come to know that we could take screenshot of iPod, but unaware of how to take Does anyone here tell me how to take screenshot,am eager to know the answer for it.

The iPhone and iPod Touch both allow you to take screenshots without any special hacks,you do not need to take any special efforts to do that; just you need to press both the top Sleep button and the bottom Home button at the same time and, after the screen flashes, your picture image will be saved and that screenshot will automatically saved into the Photos application.
