Restore factory settings for dell inspiron 1200

Hi,

I have dell inspiron 1200, i want to restore the machine to a factory state. I got only drivers cd with my Dell 1200. you know any key combination on startup which can put it back to factory settings. or anyone knows where i can download free dell inspiron 1200 recovery disk ?

You may have a dell inspiron 1200 recovery CD, or you can also do a clean Windows installation. if you have recovery CD in that case youll have to boot with that and follow the instructions. Immediately upon seeing the blue bar, press <Ctrl><F11> in time, when DELL Logo will give you the option to continue with a factory reset.

Go to this link http://support.dell.com/support/topi...=us&l=en&s=gen and enter your service tag from the side of the machine. If dell inspiron 1200 is in warranty you should be able to get a new set of accessories to you.

if you are using vista and you want to use the restore factory setting , you have to press F8 at the dell logo on boot and select Repair my computer then Dell Factory Image Restore. and if you are using windows xp then up press ctrl F11 same time.
