The message account is in invalid mode comes due to a halt between your BES and blackberry phone. You wireless service provide can also be responsible for this. Do this :
    • Soft reset your Blackberry phone.
    • Remove battery and place it again.
    • Reset your email server password.
    • Reset the password back in Blackberry phone.

If nothing happens call your wireless service provider.

This problem can be resolve by resetting the email account. Try this out.
    1. Click on the Email Setup option on your Blackberry home screen.
    2. A Email setup wizard will pop-up on the device.
    3. Click Next.
    4. In the Terms and condition window tick on I agree.
    5. Enter your full email address and password.
    6. Click Next.
    7. Now the phone will confirm your email address and add your account.

Finally if you wish you can add a new account or use the same one.

The same problem i was having some time before. My had stopped receiving emails in my Blackberry phone. If you are in the same trouble do this :
1). Hard reboot your phone by removing battery. And place it back after 30 seconds. Restart your phone.
2). If nothing is happen by the above step and follow this. Register your phone on network. Go to Option > Device > Advance Option > Select Host Routing Table > Menu > Select your service provider > Register Now.
3). Still no result, Open your BIS site > click on this link " Global BIS List ".
4). At last you will need to call your wireless service provider. You had mentioned Verizon. Call them and ask about the issue.
    Bye
