Blackberry is not marking the read items as read

I am using Blackberry device. I read an email on my device it does not mark itself as read in my email inbox.it does not update his Outlook inbox to show that message as read. Why is that so? Because when i delete a message from outlook, message gets deleted from the Blackberry inbox as well. Do you guys have any suggestion ?Please help

This problem occurs with some Blackberry users. To fix this problem, go through this steps:-

Click Messages from the home screen of your device.
Display the menu, click Options and then click Email Reconciliation.
In the Message Services field, click the email account to configure reconciliation for.
Switch the Wireless Reconcile to On or Off as of your need.
Now in the Delete On field, click Prompt, Mailbox & Handheld, or Handheld as desired.
Now click either Mailbox Wins or Handheld Wins in the On Conflicts field.

This option specifies whether the messaging server of the integrated account or the BlackBerry smartphone has final say regarding the conflicting status of an email message.

You do not get email sync using BIS, wireless or otherwise. You need either BES or a hosted BES for that.
