| Can I connect external monitor to my laptop
I am under Windows XP and NVIDIA GeForce 7600 graphics card. I will be using the USB keyboard and mouse. |

It is possible as long as you are having VGA, DVI, Display Port and/or HDMI output on your laptop. Certainly you didn't mentioned the laptop model? If you have so then connect it and Windows will detect it automatically. |

I am having the old Compal HEL80 Notebook. I think it has VGA port. Can I connect the external monitor directly to the VGA port of the laptop? But I think I would need some cable because the monitor don't have VGA port. |

Buy a VGA cable. It had a nine pin VGA Female connector on its one side that should go directly to the laptop. The other side, you connect it to the monitor. |
