I have hp pavilion 1170 laptop. When i start my windows, power light and all is visible. But the screen is black and cannot see anything. Please help me.

It can be a motherboard issue. Try to boot after resetting the hard drive and ram. It requires some basic hardware knowledge or you can get help from someone.

I think it may be because of problem in backlight of your laptop. You can look at following links to repair or replace it:

It looks to me like there is an issue with the resolution because of physical damage caused to your screen. Connect your laptop to another monitor with video output. Try to restart the laptop connecting to other monitor.
