    Error : 80072f0d Active Sync with WM5

    Hello,

I have an Exchange Server 2003 running on a Pocket PC with WM5 I like with the help of Active Sync would want to synchronize. Without SSL works have long been very good. Since I've also from the whole and not on the local network, but will also underway on a foreign Wlan, is too uncertain to me.

The access over OWA over SSL works also flawless. The certificate is installed correctly. (this is a self-created) I have the certificate already exported and installed on my PDA, it is now in the category of "root certificates" in it.

Unfortunately I still get in the synchronization error 80072f0d. As I know it can be fairly easily remedied by placing the certificate on the PDA. -> Yeah, I already long ago. What is still wrong?

    Hello,

I have the same problem. Attempts have been days to solve the problem. I have a MDA Vario 3 and SBS 2003 R2. I also get the same message when you synchronize. The access via the browser works with the MDA without any problems. The certificate must be OK, because the browser accepts it. Perhaps the problem lies with Windows Mobile 6th I'm grateful for any hint.

    Hello,

You need to have trusted certificates in order for AS to work fine. To do so, Open IIS --> Default Web Site --> Properties --> Directory Security --> View Certificate.

    In the certificate,
    • click on the Certification Path tab.
    • click on each and every level on the path (typically certs) and
    • then click on view certs.
    • Go to details tab
    • use the copy to a file.
    • Save all the certs and trust them in the device.
    • in the last test Activesync.

    Hi,

Its a Certification issue, Install the cert by clicking on the .CER file, and it gets added to your CERT collection.
