I bought the dock Gear Pro Control to charge my Ipod Touch and connect to my stereo, but I cannot charge the ipod when it is only standing on the dock plugged into the socket. I wonder whether to connect the dock to the computer via the USB cable.

I bought it, telling me that this would be useful to charge my Ipod when I do not have my computer with me ...

Have you tried to connect the ipod on the dock without using the plastic to your specific model?, putting the ipod directly into the dock connector? This helps to push the advantage. I have this problem with my ipod touch II, I feel that there may be a default on the dock at this level. I had the same problem: ipod partially controllable (volume and advance tracks OK but it would not load ...).

After quite some research and call center at Apple, I decided to test the dock (universal dock) with another ipod a buddy. And it worked: in my charger (English charger with adapter and USB camcorder output type (smaller in fact ...) does not load even if the dock loading ipod directly. I bought a Classic USB charger / ipod dock plug and it works ...
