You can use Desktop Manager to easily transfer the personal data and applications on an existing BlackBerry smartphone to another.

You need the following requirements -

    - Two mini USB sync cables
    - Desktop Manager software
    - Two BlackBerry smartphones.

Note: If you're transferring data to or from a device with a micro USB port, like the new Pearl 8220 Flip, you'll also need a micro USB sync cable.

Re: Data transfer between 2 Blackberries

    Step1 - BlackBerry Desktop Manager
The first thing that you will need for transferring data is the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software.

Step2 - Connect your existing BlackBerry, and select device switch wizard
The next step is to connect the Blackberry Smartphone to your computer using the USB sync cable. Once your device is connected, the BlackBerry PIN appears in the bottom left corner of the BlackBerry Desktop Manger screen, next to Device connected (PIN).
When the BlackBerry is connected to your PC and Desktop Manager, choose the Device Switch Wizard option. On the following screen, click Switch BlackBerry devices.

Step3 - Configure BlackBerry device switch wizard
Once you have selected The Switch BlackBerry devices screen, it displays 3 columnsa) Current device (b) New device (c) Options.
The first field below the Current device heading should be labeled PIN and the value within should match the PIN digits in the bottom left corner of the application screen.
Note - If you don't find the same, open the drop down menu beneath Current device and select the PIN associated with the connected BlackBerry. If your device is password protected, you'll also need to enter your passcode.

The Options section lists a number of options related to the device data that you wish to transfer to the new device.

Step4 - Transfer data between BlackBerries
After specifying data and applications you want to transfer, click the Next button in the bottom right corner of Desktop Manager to proceed. As Desktop Manager scans your device and copies its contents for backup, a variety of progress bars will appear on the screen.

After the backup process is complete, another dialogue box will appear asking you to select the new device. Now, connect the new BlackBerry that you want to transfer data and applications to and select the corresponding PIN from the drop down menu. If your device is password protected, you will again have to enter in your passcode. Enter OK. Then, another set of progress bars will appear to scan the application configuration on the new BlackBerry.

You can transfer data files between Blackberry devices using Bluetooth

    1. Enable Bluetooth Connectivity for Both Devices
    • Click Manage Connections from the BlackBerry icon screen and check the box next to Bluetooth.

    2. Make the BlackBerry Devices Discoverable
    • On the devices icon screens, click Options and then select Bluetooth.
    • Hit BlackBerry Menu key (the one with the seven-dot RIM logo) and click Options again.
    • Set the Discoverable option - "Yes" and then exit the menu by hitting Escape
    • Finally click Yes when a dialogue box asks you if you want to save the changes.
