Can anyone write a simple way how to do this because I am not much familiar computer.

what is FWID?

I think everything but the ipod you'll find info on the Settings menu.

Its Firmware ID.

Firmware version on your ipod, you can read it, if you connected your iPod and iTunes starts. FWID is specific to the iPod, and it is carried in the ini file on your iPod. So, if you can't use regedit on one PC (due to company restrictions etc.).

Hi,

For retrieving your ipod nano FWID number, you need to install iTunes, it retrieves FWID automatically.

Or you can do is, Open the Control panel and go to Device manager
Find your iPod in the list of devices (probably under hard drives) and double click it, then go to Details tab and select Device Instance ID in the drop down box you will find the 16 digit FWID number.
