How to update Sony Ericsson W902

Hi all. Before i was using Nokia handset which i use to keep updates for the softwares and all with nokia pc suit. Now i am having Sony Ericsson mobile W902. i need to know how can update sony mobiles ? Because i think it can cause problems if i do any mistake. So please help me in the process of updating Sony mobile.

For updating Sony Mobiles with computer , you need Sony Pc suite and Sony Ericsson Update Service installed in your computer. If you have these installed than follow this stesp:-

1. Run the Sony Ericsson Update Service Software.This procedure only takes a couple of minutes. Software updates are released at different times depending on your phone model and operator. To keep your phone performing at its best, it's a good idea to update its software regularly.

2. Select the language on the next screen you get.

3. Now select the proper cable connection ( Look at the Bottom of your phone)

4. Now you will be prompted to accept the terms and condition and you after that you will be taken to the main update screen.

5. Now keep your mobile battery fully charged, turn off the phone and remove sim card. Now plug the USB cable to the phone and press hold the C button.

6. Once you get the screen on your computer telling to release the C button, release it.Your phone will be detected by the software and it will mention the latest software version the phone is currently using and the updates available.

7. Now select update and don't touch the phone to cause the failure of update.

8. When the update will be finished, you'll get a screen telling "Update completed, Unplug the USB connector"

Thats it. You can now unplug the USB and your phone is updated with the latest software.

Make sure that you create a backup of the user data you want to keep before you update the software. To keep your phone performing at its best, it's a good idea to update its software regularly. If you experience problems with your phone, you might solve them by updating your current software again.
