JVC XV-BP1 New blu-ray player also plays mkv files

JVC brings the end of May a blu-ray player on the Dutch market, which includes HD footage that can play video in a mkv container is packed. Interestingly enough, the XV-BP1 not handle divx files.

The XV-BP1 is one of the first blu-ray players 1080p content among other things, the H.264 format playback from either DVD or Blu-ray Recordables as a usb-stick. It swallows the player not only video files that are packaged in an mkv container, including HD images in the container formats avi, mpg and mp4 can be played. Furthermore, the player can handle various subtitle formats, according to the manual of the player.

Unfortunately, the existing Ethernet port is not to be used for streaming content on a LAN and the network used exclusively for getting BD-Live content on the Internet. It is noteworthy that the XV-BP1 also no files in the divx format playback, presumably because JVC does not license it.

The XV-BP1 also with dts-HD and Dolby True HD audio streams and 1080p images with 24fps. The machine offers an HDMI 1.3 connection and a component as a composite video output. The audio can be done through both the analog output via coaxial.

The extension of the file there will be little face. It is purely for the decoder for Divx, which pierces appears not to be. Thus the player can not play files that the DivX codec is used, regardless of the extension of the file.

I just searched and Dune HD Center player is a great device. Files of network via WiFi and Ethernet. Mkv support and the whole alot. Seems indeed a bit until I saw the price, 699 euros. That is quite a bit more than the player in this message.
