    Activesync error 85010004

Hello and thank you in advance for your help.

    I have ...

    - Windows Server 2003 SP1 c / a Exchange 2003 SP2
    - Is my connection and I have a SSL certificate that I download the appliance (Install CA certificate)
    - A smartphone (Windows Mobile 5) my old camera
    - Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5) my new camera

    My problem is ...

    - When installing a certificate for another used one or the other devices, I get an error message 85010004.

A forbidden HTTP communication or protocol was used.
    - OR --
Your account does not have permission to sync with your current settings. Contact your Microsoft Exchange administrator.
    My findings ...

    - If I use my certificate, username and password, it works without problem.
    - If I transfer a user to the Domain Admins group, to add its certificate (downloaded with the user name and password) that I enter the server name, user name and password, it does not work
    - My devices are all configured SSL

    Thank you again,

    Go through the following :

    1. In the mailbox rights under the user account has Full Mailbox. Remove completely from the user permissions.

    2. Disabled the Windows 2003 AD user account and reactivate it again. After activating the mailbox gets full mailbox access right back.

    Try the following :

    1) Enforce password on device (ex settings / personel/ lock in win mob 05)

    2) import cert for your mail server and install - same as outlook web access

    3) make sure you have selected SSL on Active Sync on PDA

    4) reset device and resync - device should prompt you to accept enforced password policy etc

No, same problem, same error. We use a certificate generated on the Exchange server, this would not work on a WM5 ppc because it does not work disable certificate check, which is required for their own certificates. We will try with an official certificate, this would have to work. Let know if it works.
