iTunes 8 "The iPhone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (13213)

Upgrade to v2.1 and when you go to sync your iPhone to display the following error:

"The iPod cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (13213)"?

The error pops up at the end of the sync after syncing photos. The sync does appear to be working however.

Here is the solution (directly from Apple's support forum):

Power down (and leave turned off) your iPhone.
Then restart iTunes 8.0, leaving your iPhone off.
Now plug your still turned off iPhone into iTunes.
    Problem solved

To restore syncing capabilities to your iPod Touch after a 2.1 upgrade:

    1. Unplug your iPod Touch and turn it off. Hold the power button at the top until the red slider appears and power it down completely.
    2. Quit iTunes 8
    3. Relaunch iTunes 8
    4. Plug in Touch - DO NOT TURN IT ON FIRST. Make sure it’s still off completely from step 1.
    5. Should sync normally

This error condition occurred during a sync and was not related to the initial upgrade to version 2.1 firmware.

I was able to go through and sync several times without error.

Once I received this error my Touch was in a perpetual “Sync” mode and the error continued displaying until I followed the steps.
