Itunes Error Code : 1604

Hello,

I have my iPod Touch has only a few days, after a few songs and photos with Requirements: iTunes, I tried the new version 1.1.3 update.

The software was downloaded, unpacked and it was reported that the update is running. Unfortunately the update ended with an error message and the call, the iPod must be set.

The attempt to do so ended with an error message : 1604

If I turn on my iPod the icon it comes with iTunes to connect when I was doing, announces iTunes an iPod in maintenance state, and nothing works anymore.

What is the problem and maybe has a solution for this?

In the overview iPod as a device is specified, but no info on software version, capacity, name, number.
A window appears with the question whether, after software update should be searched, if I accept, unpacks the iTunes software tries to install and then stops with the error message from 1604.

Then in iTunes, iPod no longer visible, it is only the music lists available.

Update to the latest version of iTunes - To see if you have the latest version of iTunes, open iTunes and

Windows: Choose Help > Check for Updates
Mac: Choose iTunes > Check for Updates

If there is an update to iTunes available, install the update and try to restore again. If you do not have an active connection to the Internet, or your Internet security settings are configured to prevent iTunes from communicating with Apple, iTunes will alert you that the iTunes update server could not be contacted. Resolve your Internet issues and attempt to update again

Then Restart your computer.

To fix this error, follow the below steps :

1.) turn off the iphone and pull the chord from the computer

2.) uninstall itunes and ALL apple products that installed with itunes 7-4

3.) re-install itunes and ALL apple products that installed with itunes 7-4

4.) Pull the SIM card out of the top of the iphone

5.) reboot the iphone and get the dammed yellow triangle of death

6.) Turn on iTunes if it did not come on already to get itunes to see the iphone

7.) reformat the phone--(it should work by now)

8.) reinsert the SIM card in the iphone

9.) reactivate the phone

10.) Restore your data from the last back up
