MSI launches a Netbook at Computex 2009 with Android OS

"According to some indiscretions, MSI may have a Netbook-based Android operating system in the coming Computex Taipei"

From the sources of information on-line, indicate the possibility to see during the Computex 2009 Netbook, MSI brand, equipped with Android operating system. This is the first Netbook to make use of Google's operating system designed for the mobile world, although other companies have promised something similar, there is now on track to translate words into deeds.

If the items are shown to be well founded, could be a product that will offer something different in the Netbook landscape, full of almost identical products and that are generating many doubts to people intending to buy one. The hypothetical Netbook MSI Android operating system will be something different from hardware point of view, because, inevitably, will use ARM processor, failing to agree a version of Android on the x86 world.

A device of this kind could also inaugurate a new category, located in terms of price below the current proposals Netbook, even though it follows the characteristics of simplicity and functionality. And course early to know anything official from MSI, but in any case we can hope to witness a first in this area, including the pending deployment of platforms Ion NVIDIA and Intel Atom second generation.

The solution has ARM hardware is respectable but not inspired me for a Netbook because you are still hampered in their choice of software ..

In the end, it is undeniable .. remaining on Xp on X86 you have a software park which certainly a platform symbian or android can never match!

Well, depends what you want to always go with this Netbook, It may be that everything can and make enough (depends on the price of course).
I hope that finally this is the Wimax on this model.

Ubuntu are doing well for ARM ... complete if all or even just the most important software I can see with no major limitations if not for specific applications. If there will be Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice.org and Pidgin which not even notice you're using that architecture.
