    Panasonic camcorder cannot recognize

    Hi,

I have the GS230 is connected to USB2.0. If recognized, all super, there is even a removable disk icon in My Computer (which is probably SDKarte, not much is). Anyway, with the enclosed software (Sweet Movie Live) states that there is no camcorder connected and Vegas does not recognize the camcorder. Has one of the plan, what's wrong?

Who can read a manual, is clearly at an advantage:

    CHANGE MODE TO USE USB:
The USB cable is connected to the movie camera in Card Recording Mode.

So only if you record onto the memory card or the camera as a webcam to use.

But, it works! The GS230 is one of the few camcorders, the DV material via USB full quality can be transmitted. So better not just other people stupidity of conduct.

    Hi,

I would recommend performing a process of elmination as it could anything from just a faulty lead to even a faulty DV connector on either the LiteOn or camcorder. First, try another DV lead if you have one or try connecting it up to the PC if your PC has a Firewire socket. If another lead does not help, the only other way of testing whether it is the camcorder or DVD recorder's DV sockets at fault would be to either try connecting it up to someone else's DVD recorder that has a DV (if you know of anyone) or getting a lend of someone else's camcorder that has a Firewire out to try on your DVD recorder.

    Hi,

Have you tried the following steps taken:

    1-Connect the camcorder to PC
2- Initialize Windows on a Safe Mode
    3- Log as Admin
4- Click on Start\Run type msconfig

In General TAB select Diagnostic Startup click on OK

5-Restart Windows on normal mode and log as your regular user

6- Start VideoCam Suite and transfer the files from camcorder

    to PC with no problem

    7-Repeat step 1 to 4

In General TAB select Normal Startup click on OK

8-Restart Windows on normal mode and log as your regular user

9-Start VideoCam Suite and then will be able to work

normally with software (edit and burn DVDs)
