Error Code: C00D124F Upgrading Zune Firmware

hi,
I get Error Code C00D124F while upgrading firmware 1.23,i have a Zune 80 GB Digital Media Player (Black)."Format" is not an option that is given when you right-click (either) Zune or the sub-harddisk in the Explorer window.Any recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

First, hold "Back" and "Up" to restart your Zune, then while it's restarting, hold "Back", "Centre" (the action button), and "Play" to format it. Next, power down the Zune by holding "Down" and "Back". Once it's powered down, connect it to your computer and see if it downloads and installs the firmware. Any luck?

have you tried uninstalling the software? than reinstalling/try the first sync?

1. Reboot the Zune with left button + Up on the middle button
2. While it reboots push and hold both left and right button. This should format the Zune
3. Power down the Zune with left button + Down on the middle button
4. Plug the Zune in your computer. When the Zune software starts and prompts for a firmware upgrade click Install
5. After installing the firmware synchronise the Zune with your content.

If you get the contact support error message when you start up your Zune then what the first poster said won't work. I would reformat the Zune. You will find the instructions at www.zune.net Once you do that then update the Zune again and resync all of your files. If that doesn't work then contact Microsoft.
