HP has launched the new ultra-thin dv2 notebook in India. The dv2 notebook is less than one inch in thickness and it weighs 1.64 kg. The price of the dv2 notebook will start from Rs. 37,490 exclusive of taxes. HP's new notebook has a 12.1-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel, BrightView LED backlit widescreen display.
This ultra-thin notebook can support a 4GB RAM and has 320GB HDD 5400 RPM storage. The notebook has a glossy finish and runs the Windows Vista Home Premium.
The notebook is equipped with AMD Athlon Neo processor, ATI Radeon X1250 integrated graphics and optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 discrete graphics.
The HP Pavilion dv2 notebook is powered by 6-cell Lithium-Ion battery, offering 6-8 hours of battery life. It comes with integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN, Altec Lansing speakers and an external LightScribe optical drive. The notebook comes equipped with Symantec Norton Internet Security 2009 and the MediaSmart multimedia software Hewlett-Packard. It is qualified by Energy Star and registered by EPEAT Silver.
According to Hewlett-Packard website, the HP Pavilion dv2 notebook is available at starting price of $749. It is priced at Rs 37,490 plus taxes in India.
