Asus EEE 900 at cheap price

I want to know the actual price of an asus EEE 900. I am getting it at Rs.18,000/- from my friend's friend. Is it bad?

It sounds like an excellent price. I have an EEE 900 and if I were to sell it I would take more than 20k for it! Of course it depends on the stand, how long the battery can hold in the "bag" with the loose in the fold, etc.

Also I have an option of Asus 701 at the same price. Which 1 will be the better option to buy?

The Eee PC 900 offers a much improved display, far greater capacity, and multi-touch functionality. Certainly the Eee PC 900 is more mobile than a budget machine, and about $1,000 less than an ultraportable (although with far less battery life). But if you cherish the compact design and don't mind the price, bypass the Eee PC 701 and purchase the Eee PC 900. It's truly the better computing experience.
