Jabra have announced two new Bluetooth devices, the HALO Stereo Headset and the SP200 Speakerphone. The former uses A2DP Bluetooth together with Zirene Power Bass for audio enhancement, and has a folding headband for portability. Meanwhile the SP200 has a single control button, volume wheel and a dedicated on/off switch for straightforward use.
Sound quality seemed reasonable - as much as we could tell from the noisy show floor - but we’ll need to spend more time with the Jabra HALO to see if the company’s inclusion of Zirene Power Bass makes a significant difference. Still, they’re comfortable and flexible: a 3.5mm input and supplied cable means you can still use the HALO headset with non-Bluetooth mediaplayers.
The Jabra SP200 speakerphone connects wirelessly to mobile devices with Bluetooth technology, and features an accessible control button and volume wheel. DSP technology allows the Jabra to cancel background noise with impressive proficiency. The device can be attached to nearly any surface, whether users are in a car or at home.
