LG latest GM series, the GM200 Candybar handset

The mobile phone major LG has released its latest GM series, the GM200 candybar handset. The GM200 is a mid range handset that offers a full multimedia user experience in mind in a simple yet effective form factor. According to some media reports, the handset is equipped with Dolby Mobile technology and background noise sensor that will adjust the volume on the handset depending on the ambience.

The GM200 also features a 2-inch TFT display (176 x 220 pixels) with 262K colors, GPRS, Bluetooth 2.1 (A2DP) and USB 2.0. The new GM series has a 2 megapixel camera with video recording facility and a MicroSD card support. It also packed with an Integrated FM antenna for FM radio.

The handset is expected to be out and on shelves sometime in May of this year. The new GM200 will hit the market with a price tag of approximately Rs. 7,474/- ($148).
