Duracell PowerSource Mobile 100

Duracell PowerSource Mobile 100 is an excellent standalone charger to bring on your next business trip. Like similar products on the market, this device has an integrated lithium ion battery pack, so you can juice your gear without being near an outlet. This accessory won?t leave you worrying about buying or keeping track of different tips for various gadgets just to use it. Instead, the PowerSource Mobile 100 has two USB ports, as well as a three-prong AC outlet of its own. That means you can use it for charging notebooks, your cell phone, or any other gadget that you would normally plug into a wall, at the same time.

The Duracell? PowerSource Mobile 100 is a compact rechargeable source of portable power for AC and USB-powered devices. It will extend the runtime of mobile electronics such as an iPod?, BlackBerry?, video camera, cell phone, and can provide up to two hours of extended runtime for your laptop. The Duracell? PowerSource Mobile 100 has one AC outlet and two USB charge ports, so you can run or charge multiple devices simultaneously. You no longer have to carry extra cords, chargers and device-specific batteries.

Duracell's Powersource Mobile 100 is ideal for those who frequently travel. If your laptop battery runs low or you need more play time with your MP3 player, portable gaming console or DVD player, just connect your device into the AC outlet and keep going. It can power your equipment directly, or simply recharge the batteries. The two USB ports will keep your BlackBerry, iPaq, Palm, or iPod devices charged and ready to go when you need them the most.

Additionally, you can plug the unit in and recharge multiple devices indefinitely. The mighty battery provides up to 2 additional hours of runtime for a laptop, 12 hours of playtime for a PlayStation Portable, and an amazing 44 additional hours of music for an iPod. BlackBerry devices get 34 more days of standby, while standard mobile phones gain 12 additional days. The Powersource Mobile 100 not only frees you from carrying extra cords and batteries, but it saves you money as well as space in your bags

Re: Duracell PowerSource Mobile 100

The Duracell Powersource Mobile 100 is packed with features that will keep you up and running while you are out-and-about. It combines a capable 100-watt power inverter with a powerful 4 amp-hour lithium-ion battery pack. Lithium-ion batteries are well renowned for their light weight, reliable rechargability, and a remarkably slow loss of power when not in use.

This means long-lasting power will be ready to go when you are. The 100-watt inverter is paired with a grounded AC outlet and two USB sockets. It is strong enough to recharge your equipment's batteries and provide power for nearly all of your electronic needs --it can even power many small appliances.

The 5.4 x 3.1 x 1.5-inch PowerSource Mobile 100 has a piano black plastic exterior with a Power button, indicator light, and air vents on top; a small internal fan starts up when the device is in use and is fairly quiet.

We were able to juice our Nokia N85 phone completely four times before the charger?s battery died. Using a Lenovo ThinkPad X301 (which draws 65 watts), we were able to get 1 hour and 13 minutes of life, about 45 minutes below what Duracell advertises. The larger and more expensive PowerGorilla charger, by comparison, offered 2 hours of juice while powering a Gateway T-Series notebook, which also draws 65 W of power.

The PowerSource Mobile 100 has a few protection features, including automatic overheat shutdown, low-battery voltage shutdown, overload shutdown, and an electronic ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for preventing electrocution.
