How to download music without using itunes?

hi,

I don't want to use Itunes. Are there any linux players which you can plug in your ipod). As this is a fact, I'm sure that there are many Windows counterparts that do the same.

Anyone for help !!!!

You can use CopyTrans Suite to Manage playlists, rate songs, transfer album artwork and copy songs to iPod. All this in a download that’s under 1MB. This is my preferred software for my new Nano. But I don't know whether its available for linux.

The top choice for Linux users is Banshee. Mange your music, make CD’s and sync with your music player. Sorry Windows and Mac owners, there is no version for you.
