Unknown Error 1602 while updating Ipod Touch 1.1.3

If someone could help me since I downloaded the new update but when I put an update says "preparing ipod for update" and then have me say "unknown error 1602" can someone help me solve this problem.

If you have got 1602 error when trying to upgrade to 1.1.3, the solution seems to be as simple as switching USB ports.

It sounds so simple that it couldn't possibly matter, but it does. Several people have told me that simply switching ports and trying again has solved the issue when trying again with the same USB port has failed.

Solution for Error Code 1602:

• Validate you are using the correct firmware. You can get this if you are using an incompatible firmware (3g for 2g for example).
• Restart your computer and try again.
• Try another computer
• Try switching USB ports
• Uninstall and reinstall iTunes 7.7

I switched usb ports and at first that didnt work
but then i switched cords and it did
