Error message when removing USB drive

Hello guys,

I use 1 GB USB drive to transfer simple files like MS word, MS excel, music files, etc. But when i try to remove it i get the error message: "Run DLL as a App has encountered a problem" How to fix it?

You may try reregistering Shell32.To do this : Go to Start =>Run =>REGSVR32 SHELL32.DLL
Then it looks like sfc /scannow.
Try a repair install of Windows. This can be done without losing any of your installed programs or data.

Open the "Safely Remove Hardware" box from the system tray applet and then select stop to remove the device. Then click the stop button. Now they can remove the USB device without getting an error.

It could be virus infection. Here's how you can remove virus from your USB drive:
Connect your USB stick to the pc and hold the shift key(to prevent auto running). hold the shift key a few minutes( depending upon your pc speed). click my computer and right click on the USB drive and click on explore(DONT DOUBLE CLICK ON THE DRIVE).

go to "Tool >> Folder Option >> View" click on "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck the "Hide Protected operating system files "
click apply and ok.

If autorun virus exists, drive will contain a "autorun.inf" file. right click and open it in "Notepad".(DONT DOUBLE CLICK ON AUTORUN.INF).

in that file u can find a entry like,

"[autorun]
open = CDstart.exe" and some extra fields

Locate the executable (exe) file and delete it, and delete the "autorun.inf" file also.

Your USB Drive is Now Virus Free ( Autorun Virus).
