Cannot copy data in Pen Drive

Hi friends,

I have a 1 GB pen drive. It was working fine. But from last few days it takes too much time to copy, sometimes it says cannot copy or copying failed. What to do now?

What you need to do is either use the software that came with it or use windows explorer to make sure the drive is not set to read only.
Tr to make change in regedit>>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\currentcontrolset\control\storagedevicepolicies

Check the pen drive size and the free space if there is enough free space then format the pen driveTry reformatting it using the standard format and not the "quick" format. Another thing you can try, is to just plugin the USB drive into other computers.

Instated of copy and paste in your pen drive, try to do this:

1. Highlight or select the files which you want to copy
2. Then check on the left side of windows explorer, you will see some commands like move, copy, email, etc.
3. Select the copy or move command
4. A small windows will appear, there select the pen drive and then click on copy or move
