Perhaps you could leave your devices plugged in, go to Device Mgr and uninstall the USB ports and Hubs, and then reboot and let windows again sort them out as they are found since the drivers are all in its database already. This way if one of the ports has physically broken somehow, perhaps it will show up now with a red X or yellow mark at that particular port which would tell you that you have to disable it in all hardware profiles and use a different port for the pen or help you determine in the bios if somehow the port got disabled there for some reason and needs to be re-enabled.

    Re: Problem With Pen Drive..

    hi,
Since the drive works on another computer we will have to figure the drive is alright. I would try the drive in another USB port on the computer that it does not work on also I would try another USB drive on this computer or several if you get the same action then the USB port is probably worn-out or has a problem with the traces on the connector inside the computer, usually these can not be fixed with out replacing the motherboard, so if this is the case then an add-on USB card that plugs into the PCI slots would be the way to go.

check whether your pen drive is getting detected in other computer.

    Or Else:

    1. Insert your pen drive into the slot.
    2. go in control panel and then go to add new hardware,
    3. Click next and it will search for few seconds,
    4. It will prompt a window saying Have you already connected the hardware,
    5. Select Yes, I have already connected the hardware
    6. it will provide the list; if you found then it's ok or else,
    7. at very last you will find an option add a hardware device.
    8. then select search for and install hardware automatically
    9. It will show the list and then you can select it from there.
