Philips has introduce its new GoGear Ariaz and GoGear Opus personal media player, bringing what it describes as a "significant jump in sound quality" to mid-range PMPs.
A nice touch for the GoGear Ariaz is that you can download movies directly from the internet using your PC or laptop, without having to worry about the sizing.
The included software will allow you to choose any open source video file to be downloaded and automatically enhance it for the Ariaz's 2-inch screen.
Philips’ GoGear Ariaz features a 2-inch LCD display, FM tuner, and 4GB, 8GB or 16GB storage capacity. The GoGear Opus has a larger 2.8-inch LCD display and Bluetooth. Both player do voice recording via the integrated microphones.
The Opus an updated version of one of Philips' original GoGear players, and packs a larger 2.8-inch QVGA display, your choice of 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB capacities, built-in Bluetooth, and integrated support for the BBC's iPlayer.
GoGear Ariaz and GoGear Opush will apparently be available in Europe in April for between €79 and €179, or roughly $100 to $230.
