Acer company intends to submit its first smartphone at a press conference MWC in Barcelona. The first Communicator of Acer will DX900, which is the renamed model for E-TEN Glofiish DX900. Recall that last year, Acer acquired the company E-TEN.

Acer DX900 will come with dual SIM capability, 2.8” VGA touchscreen, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3 mpx camera and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

The Acer DX900 is identical to the unreleased E-Ten Glofiish DX900. The phone design and specs were known before the merger, but it never got to the retail market in large volumes.

There is no official announcement of the Acer DX900 just yet, but we expect that to happen in mid-February at the Mobile World Congress. Nevertheless the phone is already available for pre-order at a retailer in UK.
