Japanese company LancerLink have released their ultra compact and reasonably pocket friendly MPJ-101 Mini LCOS LED Projector which also doubles up as a portable multimedia player completed with integrated speakers.

The Lancerlink MPJ-101 Mini LCOS LED Projector, which measures in at 25 x 55 x 23mm and weighs 100g without batteries, offers 10 lumens brightness and a projection resolution of 640 x 480 and comes with 1GB of internal memory that can be supplemented with SD, SDHC, MMC and MS Pro memory cards.

In terms of file format support, the Lancerlink MPJ-101 will play ball with JPEG, MP3, AVI, H.264 and MPEG-4 formats with additional support being offered by the bundled ArcSoft Media Converter whilst, in terms of audio output, the MPJ-101’s built in speakers offer 0.5W x 2.

The Lancerlink MPJ-101 Mini LCOS LED Projector PMP will set you back just shy of $1000.

Re: MPJ-101 Mini Projector

MPJ-101 mini projector that also functions pretty decently as a portable media player. Basically, this LCOS projector is a clone of the 3M mini projector, touting dimensions of 125mm x 55mm x 23mm while tipping the scales at 100 grams sans battery. The $1,000 price tag is rather prohibitive though, considering all that you get are :-
  • 640 ? 480 resolution
  • 10 lumens brightness
  • 1GB internal flash memory
  • SD/SDHC/MMC/MS Pro memory card slot
  • USB connectivity
  • Two 0.5W speakers

Re: MPJ-101 Mini Projector

Supported file formats (after inserting the memory card of your choice, of course) include MPEG-4 (AVI/ASF/MP4), H.264 (MP4)?MotionJPEG (AVI), MP3 and JPEG. MP4/ASF/AVI. Each purchase will come bundled with the ArcSoft Media Converter, so you can start toting around your favorite shows and movies on a memory card, viewing it whenever convenient. We wonder what the battery life is like for this though.
