Shenzhen e-Loam F7 UMPC with touchscreen and Windows XP What you?re looking at folks is the Shenzhen e-Loam F7 UMPC. It?s a Windows XP-running ultra-portable machine that runs on a VIA C7 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM and comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, 0.3-megapixel camera, an optical mouse, and a 7-inch resistive stylus-based touchscreen. The storage capacity is listed at 8G which could just be a typo for 80GB or 8GB, we?re not quite sure. However, what we?re definitely certain of, at the moment, is that despite is questionable build, the e-Loam F7 does look like a well-featured UMPC. Of course, trying to type long documents and e-mails on it using a stylus will be quite a challenge, but hey, it?s a UMPC. What did you expect? ![]() ( pmptoday ) |

Re: Shenzhen e-Loam F7 UMPC with touchscreen and Windows XP Currently available in China, the F7 packs a 7-inch touchscreen display, a 1GB of RAM, a 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor, a 8GB (or 80GB) hard drive, stereo speakers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 2-in-1 card reader, a 0.3-megapixel web cam, and according to Pocketables may be an optical mouse somewhere in this mix. From the specs above, looks like the price is not too high.

Re: Shenzhen e-Loam F7 UMPC with touchscreen and Windows XP Hmm, the lack of a keyboard could seriously hamper those who want to type out long documents on a road trip or reply emails as fast as possible. Maybe UMPCs ought to just go extinct, as they tend to fit in no-man's land, at least for most of us
