Putting Nokia N73 back to factory settings.

    Hi,
    I have Nokia N73 phone.
I cant save new messages incoming & my mobile says that delete some data.
I shown this to Nokia priority service center & they said i have some virus in phone & they are charging me 400 to clean this & backing up my data.
I don't want to spend that much for the data so can you tell me how to restore my phone to factory settings or i need to install any antivirus .
The data is not important i have data on my memory card & that can be recovered by my friend.
Please tell me how can I put my phone back to clean factory settings?

    Hi,
Both of you please go through this.
There are two methods allowing you to reset your phone to a more unwavering state.

    Normal Reset

    Using the *#7780# sequence.

It will restore ini files from ROM keeping all your data (themes, 3rd party applications, video, photos, and music files)

    Deep Reset

    Using the *#7370# sequence.

Completely format phone memory. Default files are cleaned up and rewritten.

Note that data found on memory card will not be altered

When using symbian60 v1 based phone such as nokia 7650, 3650 or N gage models these two key sequences can be entered in the same way you dial up a phone number. The phone will prompt you to enter a security code (12345 by default).

    Dear all brothers,
I have bought N73 for 2 days. but my phone is usually off power randomisely, then I power on it and its ok. But now, it usually powers off for no reason. Can I use the code "*#7370#" to solve this problem? Thanks for your help!

Usually with this code "*#7370#" you will probably hard reset your mobile phone which will result in complete data loss and if you havent done any backup of your mobile phone then there is a chance to lose contacts, video and audio file, photos, etc from your mobile. I would suspect that the problem lies in your mobile battery, so consider changing it or buying a new battery.
