Hello,
When I trying to install PES3 an error message that says:
1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scirpting Runtime.
And I realize that the msi file is unreadable even if I install Windows Live!
Well, I decided to install another version of windows installer but the problem is that I can not delete the version he told me that I must be his failure ENMOD I did but still nothing !!!!!

Hello , some days ago i was facing same error
1607:Unable to install InstallShield Scripting runtime
I was getting this error when trying to do a repair install for WordPerfect 11 on a Windows 2000 machine.
Refer this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888019 . I followed and my problem solved. Hope you'll also find solution to your problem.
