Low sound volume in Dell Studio 1735

I have a Fedora 10 x64 - Dell Studio 1735 Laptop Installed and working fine, all sound works (amazingly) but there is one small problem, I've installed the 64bit flash alpha from Adobe and it works great along with the quicktime libraries so I can watch apple.com/trailers flicks.

Sounds works on them but the volume is not loud enough for me to make it all out.. I've got all of my volume meters maxed out that I can see..

    could someone help out?

    Thanks!

I think for this you have to install aumix and then start aumix in a terminal window.
aumix showed additional sliders, one of which helped.

I think only installation of aumix will not help you.

After installation of aumix maxed out everything.
then right clicked on my volume control in the top right of the gnome menu bar, selected Open Volume Control, clicked on Preferences and checked off Surround. then maxed this and all of the other items under Playback tab.
After doing this you will get the proper sound.
