Nvidia confirmed, talks about the future NETBOOK

"Confirmed the rumors that they want the American colossus engaged in the development of solutions specifically developed for portable low-cost"

To confirm the news that took flight in recent days is nothing less than Rene Haas, VP of global sales. The future of California and then there will be a chipset for Intel Atom CPU, there is no need to say it will, of course, characterized by a graphics controller higher than those who until now have
    characterized such systems.

The vision of Haas, and then one of the leading developer of GPU, is that NETBOOK today, offering little, too little. Reduced computing power, graphics performance and slightly more limited. In this sense, the marriage between Atom and GeForce 9400M would represent a major step forward for this market sector, a phenomenon of the moment. The vice president is keen to stress that the work done by Intel is significant and deserves to be praised, but recalls that, thanks to the use of an Nvidia chipset, would be able to play without any kind of issue movies in full-HD , Something unthinkable for a system of this kind to date.

Currently no OEM has announced products based on Nvidia chipsets, but the company did not hesitate in saying that everyone is concerned. The rest are Nettop netBook and the phenomenon of the moment. Undeniable that the time is propitious, especially considering that, at present, are the low-cost solutions to be towed to the market.

The platform in question, explains Haas, will take place in a market segment different from complementary Tegra, which remains the nerve center for the development of solutions handheld pocket. The goal of the Californian company is not to bring video games on systems with a display of 10 "and resolution of 1024x600, but to be able to make the viewing experience, such as watching film, best possible .

I feel consistent. Able to make a film 1920x1080 smoothly is essential to a monitor that has half the resolution request. Then probabilities with a hard disk from 4 jig that fills with the first 20 minutes
No really ... the NETBOOK must be small, light, snappy using software (no 3d studio, but firefox, thunderbird and openoffice) and ULTRACONNESSI with type of system that does not need cables, including GPS.
This at least is what I want myself. For the rest use the notebook or desktop.
