Ericsson HSPA : A lock for PC by Intel and Ericsson

Ericsson has announced that its broadband HSPA modules were now compatible with the Intel Anti-Theft PC Protection. The new set will completely lock the computer in case of theft or loss, this simply by sending an SMS to 'computer. It is even possible to run the Ericsson GPS module to locate the PC.


Technology Anti-Theft PC Protection Intel should land on some models by the end of the month. This will include the software with Lenovo Computrace of Absolute Software. This software uses the Internet to check the status of the computer. The first notebooks operators modules Ericsson duet with ATPP are planned for mid-2009.
