PowerBook G4

Has a rather irritating problem with my 12 "PowerBook 1,5 GHz 512 MB RAM.

During the whole time I use it has an high-frequency beeps (sounds like it comes from a fan speed type). It is not loud at all, but it is just in the frequency range in which it cut across the head on how you think it is going to be crazy, A little background on some old television sets.

What is it that spins on it a fix?

Thank you for answers, tips, and the advice!

Re: PowerBook G4

Either it's the fan, hard drive, or it is the screen's backlight, is the fan, so it might be that your computer is at a less suitable basis or that the processor is at max. Have you tried the various settings in control panel?
Is it the backlight, so it may be a time to draw down the brightness.
Is it the hard drive that lets it may be a time to put more memory.

Hmm it remains to be seen. For tomorrow, I will complain about it. I'm not going to put up with a torture-pipe drops of water on the head from a computer that I paid a couple thousand more than my pal who has a deadly silence Sony VAIO.

My iBook is completely crazy quiet, the fan in the PowerBook are spinning easier start, which I can think is a little annoying. This beeping, I am not aware, it is perhaps a little different from copies of copies, or something only certain interfere on?

Re: PowerBook G4

Got tips on that it could be some faulty capacitor. I have zero knowledge (almost) on computers hardware so I do not know what it means.

The beep starts directly when I start the computer and goes off only when I turn it off or put it on hold. It is thus left all the time when it is on. It do not affect the sound.

Edit: I've tried various processor speeds, brightness, etc..
