With this, Apple is just behind Nokia in the world’s smartphone market.
The most popular smartphones continue to be vehicles of Nokia, despite the fact that for the year its share fell from 63% to 44%. Increased demand for devices that are running OS Windows Mobile, BlackBerry communicators to the company RIM.
Nokia itself is struggling in this segment of the market. Their market share has gone down from 63.3 percent of the market a year ago to 43.6 percent.
