    Pendrive Error...

I have Kingston 40GB pendrive. All is fine but sometimes when I copy softwares or videos. the files become corrupted and can not be deleted. File names change to gibberish language. I have to format. sometimes when i create/copy a folder in it. after unplugging it and reinserting the folder automatically copied some files and that cant be deleted. if i wnat to delete some folder then it says"folder cant be deleted folder is not empty."

So my main problem is that I can't copy video, softwares, movie s and so on.

If anybody knows the solution then please let me know. Thanks.......

I think that you need to format your pen drive cause it might have been some virus in it but once formatted every thing will be back to normal I hope.

The first thing to do is to make a desktop folder 'Pendrive' and copy all the files you can copy into there. any files left there will be deleted....

Next, you should be able to open My Computer and then right click on the icon of your pendrive, select 'format' from there, and it shouldn't have any trouble.

    good luck!

Go to Explorer, down to "My Computer" and right-click on your drive and hit format. Leave it in whatever file system it is now and hit Start.

Try the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool:

This same problem was also there with Transcend Pen Drive, I will suggest you to replace that Pen drive if it still in warranty. Because I also faced the same problem and I finally endup with with loosing some sort of Important data.
