HP Gears up Small Desktop Processor on Atom

Asus and MSI Have Done this , HP will follow. In its Compaq brand, the company will soon launch a miniature desktop processor based on Intel Atom.

Chinese page of Engadget publishes first picture of the beast, the Compaq Presario 2030 mini-Q, which will include Atom processor 330, the new dual-core model to 1.6 GHz. The device also loads 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive at 7200 rpm, a DVD burner and run under Windows Vista Home Basic.

Yes it is the second of its kind It should come out even without the touchscreen and a better finish. But until it is an HP product To return to the mini PC, yet there is no better than the EEA box. I told my boss since he search everywhere. Why ? Ideal for office, XP and cheap.

it is estimated that 8 to 9 inches of size, is still OK, heat is not a problem. However, after considering the results of long-term, the decision may have on the selection of mini-CQ2030 host (before considering the X3200, S series, such as mini-PC), but the financial considerations and used functions (only up to play WOW, but the number is very small), this was For me. As for the issue of expansion to the general Atom 230/330 motherboards, the only one PCI-E x1 slot.
