    PS3 and Home cinema

Hi friend i have got a ps3,a home cinema with 5.1 optical output but no HDMI output and a tele full hd. My ps3 is connected to my TV using an HDMI cable. . And it is connected to my amp with an optical fiber. For the image no problem. But the sound I'm only the sound of the TV.

My problem is i am Unable to have 5.1 with PS3 games.

What to do ? I read on a forum that could put all of its settings in the OS of the PS3 in bitstream instead of PCM. But I doubt on the chances of success of this option.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello.
As you well set the audio output parameter of the PS3 on "optical output? (Question beast, but to ask anyway).

PS: are you sure your home theater has an optical output and instead an entry?

Thank you for the response and especially the question. Because I did not see that. I did not know that it does adjust the parameters of the console ... or I'm on the optical output for home cinema because it worked well with the PS2.

Is it Facile access to audio output settings via the menu of the PS3 ?

It is within the parameters of the console (the 2nd or 3rd menu from the left). Then it is in the audio settings (if I remember correctly).

    hello.
Thank you for your help it was good of that. As against a small question: Once done, we are still obliged to go through the amplifier for the sound? Before my ps2, if not I turn the amp, TV took the direct relay. It would be nice if we could option the first fiber optics and second place if amp the hdmi off of television .
