The luxury industry has decided to ignore the crisis. After watches and chronographs, the Swiss brand TAG Heuer launches into effect on the market for luxury mobile phones in the Meridiist unveiling a new model elegantly described as "an instrument of communication".
Unlike Prada or Armani who put their logos on existing models from Samsung or LG, Meridiist is an exclusive creation of TAG Heuer, the fruit of its collaboration with the company Modelabs, already at the root of the Christian mobile phone Dior.
Angular, heavy, mixing glass, leather or steel, Meridiist is an aesthetic success which differs from other mobile by using a second screen and autonomy record nearly a month of standby time. The two partners did not wish to equip the 3G technology or a high resolution camera.

Despite these shortcomings, this "communication tool" is nevertheless the invoice price: 3400 euros in its basic version. What enable TAG Heuer to compete under the Finnish with a clientele apparently little concerned by the problems of purchasing power!
