Fujitsu unviels the 16-inch LifeBook N7010, which features a second four-inch touch screen above the keyboard. Fujitsu is calling the sub-display the “Touch Zone”. Interestingly, the touchscreen seems like it acts as a second monitor, so you could replace the default launcher application with anything you choose, even full-screen video. Just drag something down to it.
Under the hood there’s a Core 2 Duo P8400 processor running at 2.26GHz, ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics with 256MB GDDR3, and a Blu-ray drive.Screen resolution is 1366 x 768 and there’s an HDMI output for plugging into your TV. RAM is 4GB, plus there’s an eSATA port, integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam, Bluetooth, WiFi a/g/n and a gesture-enabled trackpad. Storage is courtesy of a 320GB hard-drive.
The Fujitsu LifeBook N7010 will start shipping on November 10th, and is available to order now in the fixed-configuration for $1,499.
