Toshiba Releases Its Premium Gaming Laptop

New Laptop Pushes PC Gaming to the Extreme by Combining NVIDIA SLI Technology, an Intel Core 2 Quad Processor and a Solid State Hard Drive



Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today released the Qosmio? X305-Q708 gaming laptop, the latest iteration from its flagship gaming line. With a stunning 17-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite? display and the latest technology advancements from NVIDIA and Intel, the Qosmio X305-Q708 laptop is engineered to deliver unparalleled performance to gamers and multimedia enthusiasts.



The Qosmio X305-Q708 is Toshiba's most powerful gaming laptop to date. Powered by an Intel? Core™ 2 Extreme quad-core processor(1) and Dual GPU NVIDIA technology, the Qosmio X305-Q708 is able to slice through the latest graphic-intensive games at high speeds and screen resolutions.

Providing optimal performance, the Intel Core 2 Quad processors(1) are designed upon the latest 45nm Intel technology for a quicker, cooler mobile gaming experience. Incorporating four processing cores, the Intel processor delivers greater efficiencies for the most demanding games. To raise the performance bar even further, Toshiba has integrated the latest solid state storage technology into the laptop. The 128GB primary drive(3) consists of NAND flash memory which delivers faster access times and data transfer rates. Paired with a 7200rpm secondary 320GB hard disc drive(3), the solid state drive will take gaming performance to the next level.

A three-GPU SLI in a Toshiba Qosmio laptop

Umpteenth round opponent AMD NVIDIA with the release today of a laptop brand Toshiba carrying not two, as does Alienware M17, but three graphics cards!


These new Toshiba Qosmio X305 actually host two graphics cards dedicated GeForce 9800M GTS 512MB in SLI in addition to the graphics chip integrated chipset GeForce 9400M. Hybrid SLI technology is the game, allowing in light of the resources necessary to operate the three cards together or disable two cards dedicated. The question is whether the chip inside a real performance gain or if the increase is negligible and if the argument is more marketing.

Two models are already available in the United States. The Qosmio X305-706 Assistant graphics cards above-mentioned processor dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 running at 2.26 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 RAM and a hard drive running at 7 200 rpm 320 GB It is sold 2 000 dollars. The X305-708 meanwhile features a quad-core Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 running at 2.53 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 RAM and a 128 GB SSD in addition to the hard drive mentioned above. The latter is sold 4200 dollars.
