Printer: "The RPC server is unavailable"

I have a printer Olivetti studio jet 300. Suddenly going to print a document has done so only in part and I get a message saying that I am not active.
I went to Control Panel and get preference but does not work.

when I go to uninstall the driver to reinstall it, and a message that says: "The RPC server is unavailable".
When I return to printers and faxes, I find that I do not have any.
That is what I have to do to make it work as before?.
It is a problem for the printer or the OS?

Thank you for trying to help me

What connection you use with your printer? USB or RS232C?

It is not a USB connection because the printer does not have.

Another fact that I forgot, is Multifunction (scanner, printer and copier)
